By the time you can enter this level, Mario will not yet be playable. The only major difference is that you only need Mario to complete the race.

In Super Mario 64 DS, the level is almost the same. Somewhat hypocritically, Koopa the Quick himself cheats, as he takes a shortcut up a slope too sleep for Mario to climb normally. You may use the Warp Zones on the mountain. If you do, he will accuse you of cheating, and will not award you the Power Star. During the race, you cannot use the cannons. At the top of the mountain, there will be a flagpole. To beat him, you must first talk to him, and he will ask you to race him to the top of the mountain where Big Bob-omb was. Star 2: Footrace with Koopa the Quick įor the second level in Bob-omb Battlefield, the player must talk to the large Koopa Troopa named Koopa the Quick. When Yoshi in particular defeats him, he breaks the fourth wall by saying that if Yoshi wants to fight him again, he can " just select this Star from the menu.'" He compliments Yoshi for reaching the top despite lacking a mustache, he claims that Mario's mustache makes him look like a peasant, he commends Luigi for being brave even though he does not look like the part, and he notices that Wario's mustache makes him look distinguished and attempts to rip it off for flaunting it so rudely. In addition, King Bob-omb's dialogue differs for each character. When coming back as Mario, Luigi, or Wario, they can throw Bob-ombs at King Bob-omb. You need to eat the Bob-ombs he throws, then spit the Bob-ombs back at him. What you must do is, Big Bob-omb will now throw Bob-ombs at you. Getting to the battle is the same, but the battle is not. Due to the fact that Mario will not be playable when you enter this level.

In Super Mario 64 DS, this battle has changed alot. To reach him, you must pass Goombas, a Chain Chomp, water bombs, and large metal cannonballs. If you throw him off the mountain, he will say you don't fight fair, and you must start over. To defeat him, the player must throw him down 3 times. In the very first level in the very first world, Mario must make his way to the top of the mountain, where he will find Big Bob-omb, the king of all Bob-ombs.

1.2 Star 2: Footrace with Koopa the Quick. There are several Wing Cap ! Blocks, and 6 cannons in the level. There are many enemies, including Bob-ombs, Goombas, a Koopa Troopa, and a Chain Chomp, the only one found in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. There is always a war going on, between the Black Bob-ombs and the Bob-omb Buddies. There is a large mountain and many small or large rock formations, and many hills. The Battlefield takes place in a green meadow with many trees. This is the only painting world that no Power Stars are required to enter. Mario can enter this painting world on the first floor of Princess Peach's Castle, through the far left door.
